Warhammer+ Leviathan Battle Report

Meme's aside, this is another Ultramarine victory for the Leviathan forces.  The game was pretty close and very swingy, with a few moment dependent on important rolls.  By far, the best moment was when the Ballistus Dreadnaught and Screamer-killer killed each other.  Though this demonstrates what many have claimed is the real imbalance between the two forces.

With the forces divided as they are, the Space Marine player gets two major threats.  The first is that big, Ballistus Dreadnaught.  This walker not only dishes out major damage, but can be tough for anything the Tyranids have to bring down.  The second are the Terminators.  Especially when lead by the Captain, this unit can do devastating amounts of damage and is pretty reliable for getting its charges off.

By contrast, the Tyranids only seem to get one serious damage dealer in the Screamer-killer.  Its other two monsters feel more like tech pieces.  But one thing that the games I've watched has proven, is the Neurotyrant can actually dish out decent damage.  With Psychic Scream being TORRENT, it's a great target for Fire Overwatch.

Not including the Combat Patrol Battle Report, this is now two games I've seen with the full contents of the launch box.  And honestly, though it does feel like the Space Marines have an advantage, both games have been fairly close and enjoyable.  Despite some complaints on the internet, I think this will still be a fun set of miniatures to play with.

Warhammer Day 2023

EDIT:  This is almost a full week late!  This week has sucked for many reasons, but I still can't believe it took me that long to get on...
